Model 812 (8×10′)

The Model 812 is our medium sized chicken tractor for backyard or orchard. This pastured poultry pen is a convenient size for tight spaces, or if you are just getting into free-range chickens or turkeys. It measures 8’x10’ and 4’ high. It can house 30-40 laying hens, and 60 meat chickens. It has two lifting wheels to make it easy for one person to move.

The cover is a heavy 6.7 oz woven white 100% polyethylene tarp with 10 x 10 weave and is Canadian made from the highest quality Canadian material. To secure the cover, there are nylon straps and ratchets. The frame has 1×1 inch 14 gauge welded wire mesh to keep out most predators and is all hot dip galvanized.

The sides of this model are open mesh which is good for ventilation in summer. To make it comfortable in cool windy weather, you can get the side closure kit which is a set of removable polycarbonate panels for the two sides (sold separately).
